What age are your concerts suitable for?
We’re open to all ages as we try to include music that everyone will enjoy – we’ve had 4 generations of a family come before!
Our recommendation is for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and young primary school aged children, for both Baby Broadway and Baby Gospel.
What is your refund policy?
Occasionally due to performer illness or a problem with the venue, we have to postpone a concert. This rarely happens, and we do our best to find a new date.
If we can’t do this, and we have to cancel, we offer a full refund.
We do not offer refunds if you cannot make the concert or change your mind. But if you contact us ahead of the date we will do our best to swap you to a future concert (where the ticket price is the same).
COVID
We work with each venue to comply with their own Covid policy.
We no longer have reduced capacity or social distancing at our concerts. It’s up to you if you wish to wear a mask and we try to keep venues as ventilated as possible.
Hand sanitiser and / or bathrooms are available at all our venues to encourage good hand hygiene whilst we’re in a shared space.
Please stay at home if you become unwell and test positive for Covid. We will do our best to offer an exchange for a new date you can attend, but we cannot offer refunds in these circumstances.
What will my child get out of it?
Every child is different, but….
If you have a very young baby, you might get some cuddles and a lovely morning of top quality entertainment whilst they sleep.
If your baby is 6m+ they’ll love the bubbles, watching their fellow babies, hearing the music and listening to you sing along. Plenty of smiles for the performers too!
If you have a toddler, they may enjoy the actions and the bubbles. They may fancy a wander round the room or they might sit transfixed on your knee the whole time – either is fine with us!
If you have a pre-schooler, they might enjoy meeting our puppet Bertie or be up at the front dancing and clapping along.
If you have an older child they may be more familiar with the songs and fancy joining in, or come away inspired by the professional performers!
What will I get out of it?
45 minutes of top-quality entertainment. All our Baby Broadway singers have West End experience and our Baby Gospel singers are from a professional gospel choir, CK Gospel.
We know parenting is hard work (really, we do), so we want you to come away feeling uplifted! There’s plenty of feel good music to sing along to or you can just sit back and let it all wash over you. Everything is performed live – no backing tracks here! Hopefully it’s an activity that both you and your child can enjoy together and you’ll all come away smiling.
Is it a music class?
No, it’s a family concert. So you can expect entertainment at the front of the room, and a seated audience section but with plenty of space to move around with your little ones. You can join in as little or as much as you like!
I’m coming on my own with my baby, will there be people to help?
Yes! Our front of house staff are here to help you if you need any assistance. They are the ones wearing Baby Broadway t-shirts, and there are usually staff from the venue around too. Lots of people come to our shows on their own with their kids as it is a great place to meet other parents and carers!
Will it be the same songs everytime?
No, we like to keep things interesting! We perform the same songs during a run of shows e.g. all the shows in January will be the same. We return to venues roughly every other month, and there will always be new songs for you to enjoy.
At Baby Broadway you can expect to hear classics from The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Grease, Mamma Mia as well as more modern Disney songs and numbers from current West End shows. At Baby Gospel they perform songs by Marvin Gaye, Adele, Jackie Wilson and Pharrell.
Do I need to buy a ticket for a baby?
Usually not, but it depends on the venue and the age of the child. Please check individual events pages for details, or contact us if you’re not sure.
Can I breastfeed during the show?
Absolutely!
Can I bring my buggy along?
We have designated ‘buggy park’ areas at all of our venues. Sometimes space is limited so we always appreciate you bringing a sling if you can! Should you wish to bring in a car seat or have the baby sleeping in the buggy next to your seat we aim to accommodate this where at all possible.
Our venues are safe and welcoming, however please note that buggies are left at the owners own risk.
What if I am coming with twins?
We love twins and are on hand to help where we can! If you have any worries please feel free to contact us in advance.
Do you have baby changing facilities?
Yes there will always be somewhere to change your baby at the venue.
If a show says it’s ‘SOLD OUT’ can I still get tickets?
Unfortunately not, but sometimes we might get returns and you often add yourself to the waiting list or contact the venue to be added. However, we cannot guarantee this.
How long is the show?
Our concerts last approximately 45 minutes, and we open doors 15 minutes before start time.
